About the Artist
André Saraiva is a Swedish-French artist whose career began in the Paris graffiti scene of the mid-1980s.
In 1989, he introduced "Mr. A," a character featuring a top hat and a distinct wink, which marked a departure from the traditional tags of the era. Since then, Saraiva has executed an estimated 300,000 iterations of MR A globally.
His work has transitioned from the street to major institutions, including the MoCA Los Angeles and the Venice Biennale.
Beyond his studio practice, he has served as a creative director for L'Officiel and has partnered on projects with brands such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Nike.
